TAPIR MEMORIES
Project overview
Tapir Memories is a fictional story based on real events about the impact of the armed conflict in Colombia in the early 2000s, which has been one of the most violent events in the last decade. Most of the victims have been farmer families who ended up in the city with their mothers as survivors. A short film that portrays a heartbreaking conflict that still has deep wounds in the minds and hearts of the people.

Synopsis
A tapir mother reveals her tragic story in an embroidery after a violent attack. Exhausted by all means in the search for her missing son, She still remains hopeful when she joins forces with other mothers.

I am delighted and very grateful to the Spark CG Society of Vancouver for this incredible privilege of sharing this pleasant conversation with Marina Atunes about particular aspects of the making of Tapir Memories.
Impressions from BOGOSHORTS (dec, 2023)
In addition to the official selection of Tapir Memories, I was invited to the conversation (No olvidar la representación, la desaparición en el cine colombiano), where I had the opportunity to listen to the opinions of other Colombian filmmakers and to reflect on the topic that is dealt with in Tapir Memories.
